Choosing Outdoor Furniture Materials for Coastal Hotels
Compare frame, wood and woven finishes in the context of salt air and daily use.

Start with the site
Map exposure to sun, salt spray and rain before choosing a material. A sheltered dining terrace and an open pool deck do not face identical conditions. Ask for the construction and care guidance for each specific model and finish.
Compare complete assemblies
Aluminum is light and does not rust like ferrous metal, yet coatings and fasteners still need attention. Coated carbon steel can provide a substantial frame; check its coating, drainage and touch-up advice. Teak changes appearance outdoors, while woven furniture also depends on the frame beneath the weave.
Specify the lifecycle
Request physical samples, maintenance instructions and replacement-part information. Record the approved frame, weave and cushion combination alongside the model and quantity. A material name alone is not a performance specification.
